FAMILY BACKGROUND
Ha'gowT grew up on Qo'noS, the Klingon homeworld. By the age of 17 he was already a master of the basic bat'leth techniques. His father and mother both reside on Qo'noS. He was not always an only child, but his older brother was killed in a Cardassian raid and his younger brother was killed in an epidemic that spread over the Qo'noS mainland.
At the age of 21, Ha'gowT enlisted in the military and received the best hand-to-hand combat scores in his class. He was considered a crackshot with a disruptor rifle, but has fallen out of practice in recent years. He flew fighter craft (as his father, Va'rouQ, did before him) during his service in the Homeguard (Klingon marine type group) but his real desire always lay in personal combat, both unarmed and with weapons.
At the age of 32 he was transferred to a special program in Starfleet as part of an experimental United Federation of Planets/Klingon Empire mixed crew alliance. Ha'gowT's mother disapproved of the transfer and believed he should stay with in the Homeguard, but Va'rouQ, surprisingly, approved of the idea and sent Ha'gowT on. His mother had a huge argument with Ha'gowT about the program which ended with him storming out of the house and the mother and son stayed apart for almost 4 years.
This silence was only broken once when, quite recently, Ha'gowT was contacted by his mother to let him know he had a new little brother. Afterwards, the wall of silence resumed. Ha'gowT and his father remain in contact.

Data:
Ha'gowT stands at 6 foot 8 inches tall and weighs 256 pounds. He has well developed lower and upper body strength. He, according to rumor, even beat one of his instructors in a practice session back at the Klingon academy. His has short cut black hair and brown eyes. He has a overly pronounced ridge on his head, which he believes brings him good luck.
Psychological Data:
Rather mellow, for a Klingon, Ha'gowT has always held the opinion that a Klingon who assumes weakness in others is a dead Klingon. Accordingly, he usually refrains from judging other species until he knows more about them. He has no sense of humor to speak of, but has begun to pick up many human mannerisms.
STARFLEET RECORD
Ha'gowT did not attend Starfleet academy. He went through a training/adaption program to adjust him to Starfleet vessels, and was then assigned to the Malinche. He came onboard as Assistant Chief of Security, was eventually promoted to Chief of Security, Executive Officer, and then Captain after the death of Admiral Rembrandt. His training record in the Klingon academies was good, but not exceptional.
